TEACHING TEAM
ANNE
Director of Accounting
Anne has over 30 years of experience in the accounting field and has worked most of her career in corporate companies. This is her first experience in the education sector and she loves it. Anne is always willing to support the staff in any capacity and looks forward to participating in school events. Anne has a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Anne wakes up every morning with a grateful heart, and it shows in all of her actions. In her spare time, Anne loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is also active in Kali (Filipino martial arts).
ALEXIS
Lead Teacher, Spring Valley
Alexis has worked at Camp Happy Hall during the summer of 2019, but decided to focus on college before returning to work as a school-age teacher for Spring Valley. She attended San Francisco State University and received her degree in Information Systems, but loves to work with children and lead fun art projects. Before working at Happy Hall, she has also volunteered as a teacher’s aide at her local elementary school for a kindergarten class and a fifth grade class. Alexis currently lives in Pacifica, and enjoys listening to K-Pop, drawing digital art, making stickers and buttons, playing video games, and playing with her cat, Cupcake.
COLLEEN
Lead Teacher & Program Director
Colleen is a Happy Hall alumni. She started attending camp when she was 5 years old, transitioned to being a Teen Leader and eventually Head Teen Leader. She is now a Lead Teacher at Happy Hall Meadows Before & After School and Program Director for our Summer Explorers Program. College attained her Early Childhood Education units from Skyline College and recently graduated from San Francisco State with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development. Colleen has a passion for introducing children to new activities as her goal is to create an educational and FUN learning environment. Colleen is committed to guiding children to be the best versions of themselves. When Colleen is not working at Happy Hall Schools, you will find her outdoors. She loves hiking, kayaking, and enjoying nature. Colleen loves to travel, and as most of the child know, her favorite place to travel is Disneyland.
DYLAN
Teacher, Spring Valley
This is Dylan’s first year with Happy Hall, and he’s excited to join the team! Before Happy Hall, he worked as a counselor and lead instructor at other summer camps. He’s eager to use the skills he learned there in an educational setting. He is especially interested in helping students develop their self-advocacy skills and articulating their perspectives. He attends San Francisco State University and is majoring in Computer Science. He lives in San Francisco and enjoys caring for his fish and doing all sorts of arts and crafts in his free time.
ERIKA
Teacher, Green Hills
Erika has worked with children for 4 years. From being a babysitter, a caregiver, a sister, a volunteer and so on. She is studying Child Development at Cañada College. Erika enjoys working with kids and plans to work with juvenile youths in the future to ensure a positive healthy lifestyle. In her free time she enjoys long drives, hiking, listening to music and eating!
JENNIFER
Administrative Assistant
Jennifer has been at Happy Hall for two years. She has worked at an e-commerce office for 8 years, supporting clients with planning parties and selling party supplies. Her experience with customer service for over 12 years has really helped her become a huge asset to Happy Hall. She is also a certified tax preparer and has studied business administration at San Francisco State University. In her free time Jennifer likes to spend time with her husband and two year old daughter. She enjoys the beach and finding good restaurants and dessert places.
MARINA
Center Director
Marina started with Happy Hall Schools over 20 years ago, working as a teacher at our preschool. In 1999, Marina joined our Happy Hall Meadows Before & After School program, where she is now the director. Children are the center of Marina’s work, and she works hard to create an inclusive and caring environment that support social and emotional growth. This is Marina’s fourth year as Camp Director. Marina works with the Rachel Heck, Program Director to develop curriculum and ensure that the program is safe and appropriate for all of the ages that we serve. Marina attended Skyline college where she received her education in Early Childhood Education. Marina developed both an archery outreach program and Judo programs for children. Marina has a passion for the outdoors and cooking. When Marina is not at work, it’s safe to say you’ll find her running on the Pacific coast or baking something delicious. Marina and her husband have two grown children.
MONICA
Lead Teacher, Spring Valley
Monica has been working with children since she was 18 years old, and has enjoyed it ever since. After she graduated high school she focused on her general education and realized she wanted to learn about the beauty industry and went on to take Cosmetology classes at Skyline College. As she finished up cosmetology classes she also wanted to study Early Childhood Education. Monica is committed to staying in school and is completing her education at Skyline and soon will transfer to San Francisco State University to get her bachelor's degree. She has always had a passion to teach young children. Monica believes that teaching children at a young age helps them become confident within themselves and their work. Monica enjoys being with her dog Coco, road trips and doing her nails.
TIFFANY
Assistant Director, Green Hills
Tiffany has been with Happy Hall since 2018 and has recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and a minor in mathematics. She has been working with kids (Pre-K to 8th grade) since she was in high school and loves it. She enjoys being able to get to know each child individually, seeing their growth, and learning new things from them each day! During the school year, Tiffany serves as the Assistant Director at our Green Hills Before and After School Program. In her free time, she enjoys playing music, traveling, and watching movies.
