Director's Message
We’re settling back into our routine as we move into this exciting month. February brings celebrations of Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day, along with a focus on our Lifeskill of Caring. We will be focusing on what makes each of us special and unique. It is important to celebrate our differences and similarities and show appreciation of being in this community together.
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
We have celebrated Lunar New Year and are preparing for Valentines Day celebration on February 14. We have learned about Martin Luther King. We also learned about winter weather and Arctic animals. The Oak classroom has started working on writing letters and recognizing letter sounds as well as counting out objects. In February we will learn about the presidents, money and shapes.
Professional Development
The teachers really enjoyed speaking with you during your conferences and showing you their portfolio. The children have grown and learned so much this year. We can’t wait to do it again in June.
Community Events
Our Lunar New Year parade was a huge success. I am so glad many families attended. We had fan dancers, drums, snakes, lanterns and even a dragon. It was so nice enjoying snacks with you and spending time together.
Happy New Year!!!!!

Reminders
It is essential that we have complete and accurate health information for every child. If we are unaware of a child’s medical history, we may be less equipped to provide the necessary support in an emergency. Please update your 1Core account with any missing health details, such as a history of seizures, allergic reactions, or other medical conditions.
Once you've made updates, kindly send me an email so I can print the information for our emergency binder. While reviewing your account, please also ensure that all emergency contacts are up to date.
Safety is our top priority, and having the most accurate information allows us to respond effectively in emergencies.
Thank you for your time and cooperation!
Looking Ahead
On Friday, February 14 we will celebrate Valentines Day with a Friendship fruit salad and giving of valentine cards. If your child only attends on Tuesday and Thursday they are still invited to attend on Friday for the party from 9am-10am. This is a child only event.
The sign up for our fruit contributions is on the classroom doors. Please bring in a small amount of the fruit you signed up for and we will be making yummy fruit cups for everyone.
For valentine cards or treat bags, please bring the total below labeled “From: ________”
