Director's Message
Happy April, Happy Hall - Lomita Park Families!!
Happy May Happy Hall - Lomita Park Families!!! I hope everyone is enjoying the nice beautiful weather and staying as cool and hydrated as you can!
With the end of the school year approaching us so quickly, we wanted to extend a huge thank you to all of you and hope you and your children had a lovely experience with/in our program! We love to hear the feedback and how we can improve our program and enhance the experiences for students and their families! Thank you so much for making it a fantastic year filled with so many wonderful memories to cherish!
We would also love to give a big shout out to all of our students finishing another year and getting ready to start their next grade level! It is such a heartwarming experience to see the students grow and develop in all of their skills and academics, while being able to enjoy fun activities and projects and celebrations along the way! We hope you have a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing all of our returning students and families in the upcoming school year!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
Our final curriculum theme is all about celebrating everything we’ve accomplished this school year! As we wrap up, we’re taking time to reflect on the learning, growth, and special moments our students have experienced. This grand finale will be filled with reflection, joy, and celebration of the hard work and achievements that made this year so meaningful.
To mark the occasion, students will participate in fun and engaging projects that highlight collaboration, creativity, and everything they’ve learned. It’s a wonderful way to end the year on a high note—together!
Professional Development
Our Summer Camp Team is in training! We’re kicking things off with a focus on camp protocols and safety procedures—crucial for our new team members and a valuable refresher for our returning staff. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be diving into learning more about workshops, field trips, and swimming guidelines as we gear up for another safe, exciting, and fun-filled summer.
Community Events
This month during the last week of school (Tuesday, May 27th, to Friday, May 30th) we will be having fun games, activities and celebrations to honor the students and all of their hard work!
On Thursday, May 29th, we will be doing a big celebration for our graduating 5th Grade class! They will also be getting to enjoy fun water activities! If you could please provide extra clothing for that day for them that would be amazing!
On Friday, May 30th, we will be continuing our celebration of all of our TK - 4th Grade classes! This will be their day for fun water activities and games! If you could please provide extra clothing for that day for them that would be amazing!

Reminders
Fall Registration is opening soon! Be sure to check our website and stay tuned for announcements so you can secure your spot for the new school year.
Please remember that toys are not allowed at Happy Hall as we are not liable for any lost, stolen or broken items. We want to ensure no children have this happen to them and this will help us reduce this from occurring. We appreciate your cooperation very much! If you have any questions, please let us know!
Please send us an email whenever your child(ren) will not be attending the after school program (lomitapark@happyhall.com). This way we know they will not be joining us for Happy Hall. In the event we do not receive notification, we will follow up with a phone call home to inquire about their whereabouts, to ensure they are safe. In addition, if we do not know that your child will be absent and we do not receive notification, after 7 unexcused absences, students will be removed from the program.
For AM care, students should only arrive between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:30 am. In addition, students who arrive after 7:30 am are marked late; after 7 late arrivals students will be removed from that program specifically, but would still be able to attend the after school program if they are enrolled there as well. For families arriving late, please be sure to fill out the form we have on site and if it is an excusable reason, it will be excused.
If you ever need to pick up your student early, please ensure you are signing the early pickup form, which is located at the sign-out cart in the MUR. If it is not there, please make sure to ask a staff member to grab it for you. As a reminder, if students are picked up early 7 times without this document being filled in, they will be removed from the program as well.
If you wish for your child to walk home, you must complete our Walk-Home Authorization Form. This form must be completed for each student. If you need any assistance or have any questions, please reach out to us and we will be happy to help you!
