Director's Message
Happy March Ocean Shore families! We’re excited for another month of learning, laughter, and fun in our aftercare program. As we continue to build friendships and explore new activities together, we appreciate your support in making Happy Hall a warm and welcoming space for all. Here's to a fantastic month ahead!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
We’re excited to share what’s coming up this month in both our School Age and Preschool programs!
For our School Age students, we’re wrapping up our health and well-being theme and diving into new adventures. First, they’ll become Mystery Investigators, solving fun and challenging puzzles, before transitioning into our Olympic Competitors theme—where teamwork and athleticism will take center stage!
Our Preschoolers will be busy celebrating March and St. Patrick’s Day with exciting activities, including rainbows, gardening, and flowers! Teacher Jay has planned a festive St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt, so don’t forget to have your child wear green!
Also, have you met our new preschool teacher, Brittany? She’ll be joining us on Tuesday mornings, as well as all day Wednesdays and Thursdays—be sure to say hello!
Community Events
The Pacifica Education Foundation (PEF) Gala & Auction is happening Saturday, March 22. Happy Hall is proud to support this event by providing complimentary childcare for 50 children and contributing Happy Hall Preschool & Summer Camp auction items. We hope to see you all there!
Sunday, April 6 – Rocket Dog Rescue Adoption Event (11:00 AM – 2 PM)
Join us at our Santa Inez location for a special dog adoption and foster event in partnership
with Rocket Dog Rescue! We’ll have art activities, preschool tours, and the opportunity to
meet adoptable dogs.
If you’ve been considering adding a furry family member or just want to come play and explore our other preschool location, we’d love to see you there!
Student Achievements
Congratulations to our February STAR STUDENTS! 🌟 These incredible students exemplify essential life skills, showing kindness, collaboration, and a positive spirit that makes Happy Hall such a wonderful place to learn and grow. Their enthusiasm and teamwork add to the joy and energy of our community!
A huge shoutout to Eva, Tessa, Chloe, Livie, Nico, Theo, Michael, Corinne, Jackson, Noah R., Dylan, Leo, Hank, Drexel, and Edison—we are so proud of you! Keep shining bright! ✨
Reminders
Families, please notify Happy Hall if your child will not be attending our program! It’s quick and easy—you can text or call and leave a voicemail at 650-355-1312, email us at Oceanshore@happyhall.com, or use the absent function in the 1Core app.
If a child does not arrive after school and we haven’t been informed, our staff will begin searching for them—starting at the school, making phone calls home, and if we are unable to reach anyone, we will contact the police department as a last resort.
Your cooperation helps us keep all children safe! When staff must search for one child, it takes their attention away from the group. Thank you for your support in ensuring a safe and smooth program for everyone!
Looking Ahead
The admin team is looking forward to attending the PEF gala this year! We are excited to be contributing to Pacifica schools!
Looking ahead to April, we’re excited to announce that our School Age program will have Spring Break camp from April 7-11 right here at Ocean Shore. Sign-ups will be going out soon, so keep an eye out for that! Our Preschool program will be by sign-up only that week, with a Google form coming your way shortly for registration.
