Director's Message

Summer is in full swing, and both the children and staff are having a fantastic time with our fun, engaging curriculum! Each week brings a new theme, and it’s been wonderful to see the children exploring activities with such curiosity and joy. The weekly dress-up days have been a big hit and add an extra layer of excitement to our themes. We’re looking forward to the months ahead and all the exciting activities still to come!

Program Highlights

Engagement Activities

Our preschoolers have been having so much fun this summer! We started with Dinosaur Week, where the kids became little paleontologists. They dug for dinosaur bones in our sandbox and got to see an exciting erupting volcano! They also made fun dinosaur crafts and did science experiments that got everyone excited.

Next was Jungle Week, and the kids went on a safari hunt around our yard using their homemade binoculars. They had a blast spotting jungle animals and stretching out during jungle yoga. The highlight was a visit from Jungle James, who brought real animals-including a giant snake! Everyone loved it.

This week is Pirate Week, and our little pirates are loving the adventure. They followed a treasure map on a hunt that ended with a big treasure chest filled with pirate octopus stuffies-one for each child! Pirate dress-up day was a big hit too.

Each week has special art projects, science fun, dress-up days, and even themed snacks. Every day is full of fun and learning, and our preschoolers are loving every minute!

Reminders

Please apply sunscreen to your child each morning; we will reapply after nap time.

• Send a water bottle each day to keep your child hydrated.

• Pack a jacket daily, as Pacifica weather can change throughout the day.

Next month, we’re excited to continue the summer fun with new themes including Red, White & Blue, Bug Explorers, Fruits & Veggies, and Under the Sea. We’ll welcome special guests like the local librarian and the Insect Discovery Lab, adding even more excitement to our days. Get ready for more fun dress-up days, creative activities, and delicious themed snacks!
