MARINA
Director

Marina started with Happy Hall Schools over 20 years ago, working as a teacher at our preschool. In 1999, Marina joined our Happy Hall Meadows Before & After School program, where she is now the director. Children are the center of Marina’s work, and she works hard to create an inclusive and caring environment that support social and emotional growth. This is Marina’s fourth year as Camp Director. Marina works with the Rachel Heck, Program Director to develop curriculum and ensure that the program is safe and appropriate for all of the ages that we serve. Marina attended Skyline college where she received her education in Early Childhood Education. Marina developed both an archery outreach program and Judo programs for children. Marina has a passion for the outdoors and cooking. When Marina is not at work, it’s safe to say you’ll find her running on the Pacific coast or baking something delicious. Marina and her husband have two grown children. Her philosophy: "Kind Minds, Kind Words, Kind Hearts."

Teacher

Jaden holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from San Francisco State University. He has worked as an assistant teacher and museum guide, bringing a unique blend of technology and education to Happy Hall. In his free time, Jaden enjoys being outdoors, playing sports, going to the gym, playing online video games, and reading.

Teacher

Julia joined Happy Hall after working as a first grade teacher for a church and serving as a camp counselor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Santa Barbara. Julia loves bringing her program and project management skills to the after-school program and enjoys thrift shopping, going to the beach, traveling, and trying new foods in her free time.

NATASHA
Teacher

Natasha is currently attending CCSF and has diverse experience working with children, from serving as an after-school care provider at Susan B Anthony Elementary School to nannying. They have also volunteered at elderly homes and brings their organizational and lesson planning skills to the fore at Happy Hall. In their free time, Natasha enjoys designing jewelry, drawing, thrifting, and attending shows. They believes strongly in the power of education, noting that "We're doomed to make the same mistakes if we don't educate our children. They are the future."

Lead Teacher

Emma holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Oregon and is currently working towards her teaching credential in the Pathway to Teaching Program. She has a rich history of working with children through community service and at Girl Scout camp. Organized, creative, and passionate, Emma loves to spend her free time outdoors with her dogs and boyfriend.

Teacher

Jake is a Business Administration graduate with a Google Project Manager certification. He brings his experience as a baseball coach for kids ages 4-7 at I9 sports to Happy Hall. Jake loves incorporating his sports background into his teaching and enjoys playing basketball, baseball, and exploring new restaurants in his free time.

Teacher

Leah is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in English from San Francisco State University and has previously worked as a substitute assistant teacher and nanny. She brings a wealth of experience in classroom management and child care to Happy Hall. In her free time, Leah enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with her girlfriend.

MALIA
Teacher

A proud graduate of Burlingame High School, Malia is currently completing her GEs at Skyline and CSM, with aspirations to major in psychology and become a school counselor. Having served as a Para for the Belmont School District and as a school community inclusion worker in San Mateo, Malia combines her educational insights with a love for sports and art, often incorporating her passion for painting, drawing, and writing into the learning environment.

ALLAN
Teacher

Allan joined our team with a diverse background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from San Francisco State University and associates in Theatre and Communication. Before transitioning to education, Allan honed his skills in client interactions and problem-solving as the Graphics Lead for Automated Building Control Solutions and in retail customer service, where he expertly navigated challenging situations. Outside of the classroom, he's passionate about video games, sports, fantasy literature, and acting.

James Kaleh, with an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from Skyline College, blends his design skills with his passion for education. Before joining Happy Hall Meadows as a School-age Teacher, James honed his classroom management and communication prowess as a recreation leader for kids at the San Bruno Rec Center. Beyond the classroom, James is adept at problem-solving and has a keen eye for design. Outside of his professional duties, he relishes in cooking, hiking, and furthering his design projects.

MAXWELL
Teacher

Maxwell is currently working towards his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from UCR. Before joining Happy Hall, he was a waiter at a KBBQ restaurant and a counselor for Boys and Girls Club. Maxwell loves art and music, and in his free time, he enjoys drawing, attending concerts, going thrifting, and reading manga.
