Director's Message
Welcome to Happy Hall at Green Hills! We’re thrilled to welcome back our returning families and extend a warm hello to all the new faces joining us this year. As we kick off another exciting season of learning, growth, and fun, we look forward to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging space where every child can thrive after the school day ends. From enriching activities to new friendships, we can’t wait to see what this year holds. Let’s make it our best one yet—together!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
We kicked off the school year with the theme to welcome students, focusing on creating a strong sense of community and belonging. Through activities and discussions, students explored goal-setting, celebrated diversity, and helped shape a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all.
As we transition into our next theme, "Community," students will begin learning about the people, places, and systems that make up their local surroundings. This theme encourages students to understand their role in the community and inspires them to become active, caring participants in making it even better.
Professional Development
This month, our staff took part in our annual professional development training, reaffirming our dedication to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. The sessions focused on effective classroom management, child development, and building strong, positive relationships with students and families. It was a meaningful opportunity for staff to reflect, collaborate, and grow together—ensuring we're well-prepared to support our students both academically and emotionally throughout the year.
Reminders
Please remind students that toys, collectibles, and other personal items from home should not be brought to Happy Hall, as we cannot be held responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items.
Please come by to check if your child is missing a jacket or a water bottle. Make sure to label all your child’s belongings with their name.
If your child will be absent from Happy Hall, please inform us via text, email, or through 1Core.
Looking Ahead
Next month, we’ll wrap up our “Community” theme and dive into an exciting new focus: “The Natural World.” This theme will take us on an exploration of the diverse ecosystems and natural environments that shape our planet. Through hands-on activities and engaging discussions, students will develop a deeper appreciation for nature, gain insight into the richness of biodiversity, and learn the importance of caring for our environment.
