Happy Hall @ Ortega Newsletter | June

Director's Message

July has been full of energy and excitement as we continue to enjoy a summer packed with learning and fun! Each week’s theme has brought fresh activities and new opportunities for the children to explore, create, and play. It’s been a joy to see their enthusiasm grow with each day. Our dress-up days continue to be a highlight—thank you for helping make them so special! We’re excited for the rest of the summer and all the memorable moments still ahead.

Program Highlights

Engagement Activities

July has been an exciting and memorable month here at preschool! Each week has brought a new theme, and our classrooms have been filled with curiosity, creativity, and lots of summer fun.

We kicked off the month with Red, White, & Blue Week, celebrating with festive crafts and a patriotic picnic. Next, during Bug Explorers Week, the children got up close with real insects during a visit from the Insect Discovery Lab- what an adventure! Fruits & Veggies Week was both fun and delicious, ending with a lemonade stand run by the kids themselves, where they proudly served their refreshing drinks to our summer camp friends.

We’re wrapping up the month with Life on the Farm Week, just in time for the arrival of our baby chicks! The children have been eagerly watching the eggs in the incubator since July 8th, and we can’t wait to meet our new feathered friends.

Our preschoolers have truly embraced every activity, from hands-on science and themed snacks to creative art and dress-up days. It’s been a joy to watch them learn, laugh, and grow each day. We’re looking forward to even more summer fun ahead!

Community Events

We’re excited to invite you to our End-of-Year Family Fun Event on Friday, August 8th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Happy Hall Ortega Preschool! This special celebration is a wonderful way to wrap up a fun-filled summer and get ready for the upcoming school year. Families can look forward to an afternoon of exciting outdoor activities, including a face painter and a balloon twister, sure to delight both kids and adults. It’s a great opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate the memories we’ve made, and enjoy some playful moments before the school year kicks off. We can’t wait to see you there!
