Director's Message
Hello everyone!
Happy Hall Santa Inez will be embarking on a fun filled adventure this summer!
Starting with the week of June 10th we will visit the enchanted land of Storybook Characters. The week of June 17th we will be planting and gardening and the week of June 24th we will be cooking and counting. Along with these fun filled days we will be doing water play: We will set up water tables and incorporate toys like cups, funnels, and boats for added fun. Story time we will choose books with different summer themes and read them to the children. Follow up with related activities, like drawing scenes from the story. We will learn about Juneteenth. We will be doing lots of bubbles and use various wands for bubble blowing. A fun bouncy house is in the works along with pizza making during cooking week.
Mandarin Program
Mandarin Program to start our new school year!
We are thrilled to announce the introduction of an exciting new Mandarin Dual Language Program at Happy Hall set to begin in the new school year on August 19th. This program is designed to provide our young learners with the opportunity to develop proficiency in both Mandarin and English, while also gaining a deep appreciation for Chinese culture.
Program Highlights:
Bilingual Curriculum: Our curriculum integrates both Mandarin and English equally, ensuring that children are exposed to and learn both languages through play-based and interactive methods.
Cultural Activities: We will celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year, and incorporate traditional songs, stories, and arts into our daily activities.
Experienced Teachers: Our program will be staffed by a highly qualified teacher who is fluent in Mandarin and has extensive experience in early childhood education. Completing the team will be two teachers fluent in English.
Benefits of Bilingual Education:
Enhanced Cognitive Skills: Research shows that bilingual education enhances cognitive abilities, including problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
Cultural Awareness: Learning a second language from an early age fosters cultural understanding and sensitivity.
Future Opportunities: Bilingualism opens up a world of future academic and career opportunities for children in our increasingly global society.
Enrollment Criteria:
Children must be three years of age by August 19th or older.
Children are completely toilet learned. (no exceptions)
Limited spaces will be available.
We are confident that this new program will provide a rich and rewarding experience for your child, and we look forward to embarking on this bilingual journey together.
