Director's Message
Our summer weeks have been so much fun, and it’s been so awesome to see all of the students engaged in the exciting activities and events we’ve had throughout the month of July. From themed dress-up days to creative projects, outdoor adventures, and even a visit from some special lizard friends, the enthusiasm from the children have truly made this summer memorable. As we approach the end of summer, we’ve officially begun our preparations for the 2025–2026 school year. We’re looking forward to another great year ahead, and information regarding the upcoming school year will be shared with all families very soon. Please keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks for more communication and important updates. We hope everyone is soaking up the last few weeks of summer and enjoying some well-deserved rest and sunshine!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
We've been having such a fun summer here, and it’s been so great seeing all the kids dive into the different activities and events we've had throughout July! One of the big highlights was a visit from “The Lizard Lady.” The kids got to see and even pet a bunch of reptiles like lizards, tortoises, and yes - even a snake! They were so brave and curious, and it was awesome watching them light up with excitement and ask so many great questions.
We’ve also been getting creative with art projects using watercolors, crayons, and even squeegees! The kids loved exploring different materials and making colorful, unique masterpieces to hang up around the classroom. It’s been so fun seeing their imaginations at work!
To help build friendships and teamwork, we’ve had some team spirit activities too, like obstacle courses and scavenger hunts. The kids did such a great job cheering each other on, working together, and just having a blast while making stronger connections with their classmates.
This week was Farm Week, and the petting zoo came by with all kinds of adorable animals! The kids got to meet and pet farm favorites like goats, bunnies, chickens, and more. They also had fun with face painting. Some of them turned into their favorite animals for the day and wore it proudly!
Next up is Bugs and Insects Week! The kids will get to meet some little critters up close, and we can’t wait to see their reactions. It’s been such a special summer, and we’re looking forward to keeping the fun going just a little longer before we jump into the new school year!
Professional Development
During our three-day closure following the end of the summer program, our staff will be hard at work preparing for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This time allows our team to thoughtfully plan, organize classrooms, and get everything ready to welcome a brand new group of students. We’re so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to kick off another amazing year of learning, growth, and fun!
Reminders
While we know how much our students enjoy our playgrounds, we kindly ask that once your child has been officially signed out for the day, they do not continue to play on any of the school yards. This is especially important if other classes are still outside for their scheduled recess time.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe and smooth routine for all students and staff!
