Director's Message
Happy October! As the fall season begins and Halloween excitement fills the air, we’re thrilled to welcome you to another month of fun, learning, and community. October at Happy Hall is always full of creativity and energy, and we have plenty of seasonal activities and engaging projects planned to keep students curious, inspired, and connected.
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
We’ve been wrapping up our Space Exploration theme, where students have been inspired to think big, ask questions, and imagine new possibilities. Their curiosity and teamwork have been shining through as they learn and grow together.
Next, we’ll be moving into Weather & Seasons, a theme that helps students explore the changes happening all around them. From sunshine to autumn leaves, they’ll be discovering the ways weather and seasons shape our daily lives while celebrating the beauty of fall. We’ll also be adding some festive Halloween spirit to our activities, keeping the month both meaningful and fun.
Professional Development
Our teachers will be participating in staff development training on October 13th, focused on strengthening the ways we support children every day. These sessions give us the chance to reflect on our teaching practices, share ideas, and learn strategies that help us better understand and respond to each child’s needs.
By investing this time in professional growth, we can continue creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where every student feels seen, supported, and excited to learn.
Community Events
Spooky season has arrived at Happy Hall! We’re thrilled to celebrate Halloween with our students on Friday, October 31st. The afternoon will be filled with festive fun, creative activities, and plenty of Halloween spirit. It’s always a treat to see the imagination and excitement this holiday brings. Costumes are welcome and encouraged!
Reminders
We will be closed on October 13, 2025 for staff development training.
Please remind students that toys, collectibles, and personal items should remain at home.
Don’t forget to check our Lost & Found for jackets, water bottles, and other items. Labeling belongings with your child’s name helps us return them quickly.
If your child will be absent, please let us know by phone, text, email, or through One Core.
Looking Ahead
As we continue through our Weather & Seasons theme, students will deepen their understanding of natural cycles and explore how different cultures celebrate the fall. Looking toward November, we’ll be preparing for more exciting activities that connect science, creativity, and community as the holiday season draws near.
