Director's Message
Welcome Happy Hall Families! I am so excited to begin this new school year with you and share all the fun, learning, and growth we have planned for our students. This month, we are exploring the theme of “Community”. So far, it has been a fun start and I am looking forward to what’s ahead!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
As part of our curriculum theme “Community” this month, our students are engaging in exciting STEAM and Movement activities designed to build unity, cooperation, and mutual respect. From crafting creative paper blind boxes to playing high-energy games like Snap, Crackle, Pop, each activity is thoughtfully chosen to encourage collaboration, spark curiosity, and promote an inclusive environment where every student feels welcome and valued.
Professional Development
This month, our entire staff participated in our annual professional development training, reinforcing our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. The training focused on best practices in classroom management, child development, and fostering positive relationships with students and families. These sessions provided valuable opportunities for reflection, collaboration, and continued growth as educators, ensuring we are well-equipped to support our students both academically and emotionally throughout the year.
Reminders
If your child will be starting any extracurricular activities after school on campus, you will have to fill out our Walk Home Authorization form which can be found here. You can also fill out the form if you would like to have your child start walking home or to their extracurricular activities off campus.
If your child will be absent, please call or text us at 650.609.1117 or email us at taylormiddle@happyhall.com
Looking Ahead
Next month, we’ll continue our journey through the themes of “Community” and “Creative Craftsmanship” with hands-on STEAM activities that inspire both collaboration and innovation. Students will dive into exciting projects like making Walking Tacos, blending culinary creativity with teamwork, and designing their own DIY Mini Golf Course, combining engineering principles with imaginative design. These activities are designed to strengthen problem-solving skills, encourage artistic expression, and foster a deeper sense of community as students work together to bring their ideas to life in fun and meaningful ways.
